Artworks event at Riverside Park 9a.m.-10 a.m. 2401 Monroe Avenue NW Grand Rapids Park in the lot at Knapp and Monroe WMEAC and the City of Grand Rapids have been working hard to educate residents about the threat of the emerald ash borer to the 40,000 ash trees in our urban canopy. Please join WMEAC and ArtWorks to Save Our Ash! on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 9am at Riverside Park. WMEAC teamed up with the ArtWorks students from the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts, who installed public art to kick off our Ash tree wrapping campaign in the GR neighborhoods.
