A couple of years ago, when I lived in Fort Worth, Texas, I attended a meeting at which several of Aubrey McClendon’s lackeys presented their side of the urban gas-well drilling story. They were a very smooth group that sounded grown-up and implied that protestors were being very naive and childish.
Having attended the Monday night meeting last week at Saugatuck High School, I was not surprised to hear the same, we’re the adults, you’re the children approach taken to presenting information. For example. their inference that, since the property had been clear-cut twice, it was already spoiled and not worth saving from further exploitation. Please be careful about this. They are very slick.
Thanks for sharing, Janet.
