Lauren Tarr was raised on the shores of Lake Michigan and in the suburbs of Detroit. She is currently in Syracuse, New York pursuing a PhD in Environmental Policy at the State University of New York. Her research focuses on community-based conservation and environmental justice. She also holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Syracuse University, a Master’s in environmental studies from SUNY ESF, and a BA in Environmental Science from Northern Michigan University. In addition to her studies, she serves as a governance facilitator for the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature Youth Hub.
