Learn about threats to our forests in this presentation, which will cover current issues such as beech bark disease, oak wilt, hemlock wooly adelgid, gypsy moth, emerald ash borer, and heterobasidion root disease, and future risks from the spotted lanternfly, and Asian longhorn beetle.
The presenter will be Cheryl Nelson, Forester with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forest Health Response Team. She has worked for the DNR for 17 years, two and a half years with the Forest Health program. Nelson is a graduate of Michigan Technological University.
