Women & Environment Symposium Film and Panel – Holland

March 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We will be featuring the film Arise at Park Theater in Holland.

About Arise: The Film

Arise captures the portraits and stories of extraordinary women around the world who are coming together to heal the injustices against the earth, weaves together poetry, music, art and stunning scenery to create a hopeful and collective story that inspires us to work for the earth.

“Narrated by actress and environmental activist Daryl Hannah, Arise is both a documentary and an ethnographic study of women from around the world who share a profound intellectual and spiritual understanding of what it takes to live in harmony with the environment.”
~ Georgianne Nienaber, The Huffington Post

We are fortunate to host three local leaders and activists to participate in a panel discussion following the film.

Michelle Gibbs, Holland-Hope College Sustainability Institute

Ken Freestone, Co-Founder Green Michigan

Patty Birkholz, Former State Senator and Representative, current West Michigan Director at the Michigan League of Conservation Voters
