As part of an effort to improve and strengthen Michigan’s communities, the General Motors Foundation and the GM Components Holdings facility generously invested $5,000 in WMEAC and its efforts to support the environmental education and mentoring of students in the Grand Rapids area.
“Grand Rapids is not only where our employees come to work each day, it is where our families, friends and neighbors live, and we are proud to be part of this community. Part of our commitment is to help support local agencies that do so much good work here,” said GMCH Plant Manager, Ed Di Enno.
Denise Cromley, GMCH Facilities Manager presented the $5,000 check to Elaine Sterrett Isely, Water & LID Programs Director, and Rachel Hood, WMEAC Executive Director. WMEAC plans to use the donation to support their program, Teach for the Watershed.
