Stormwater Photo Journal: Along the Grand River
These photos were taken near 4 Mile Road and Coit Avenue on May 2 after nearly six inches of rain fell on Grand Rapids over a 10-day period, an event that happens only every 10 to 25 years. This brought the level of the Grand River to over 16 feet; four feet higher than normal for this time of year.

Residents must park their cars up the street from the flood waters, then take row boats or wear waders to reach their homes. Click on the image for a larger size.
