Students learn about stormwater management and runoff impact issues with the help of the Enviroscape Watershed Education Model.

Students look at stream quality and how macroinvertebrates and other animals are indicators of water quality.
Students have the opportunity to utilize their academic knowledge of the watershed by committing to measuring, documenting, and monitoring a section of a local stream or river. Students can also include identification and removal of species that may be harmful to the water.
Students will learn about Low Impact Development. They will also study the stormwater generated by their school and be introduced to alternative stormwater management practices including rain gardens and rain barrels.
