WMEAC Contender in Nonprofit Smackdown March 25

With over 2300 nonprofit organizations in Kent County alone, the nonprofit sector provides a lot of important service to the city of Grand Rapids.  However, this also means that vying for grants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, community capital and employees, can be a competitive endeavor for Grand Rapids nonprofits, WMEAC included.

In an effort to provide an outlet for this friendly competition, Rapid Growth Media and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network – Grand Rapids are teaming up to host a Nonprofit Smackdown at Wealthy Theatre on Friday, March 25.  During the event, representatives, including WMEAC Executive Director Rachel Hood, will face off on stage and pitch their organization to an audience of Grand Rapids citizens who will choose winners for each of the four rounds.

Admission is free and open to the public.  Doors and concessions for the event will open at 7:00pm and the smackdown will begin at 8:00pm.

Attend the event and support WMEAC by submitting your RSVP here.
