Michigan has incredible environmental resources; the longest contiguous coastal dune system in the world,  beautiful woodlands, an array of diverse habitats, and the Great Lakes containing a fifth of the planet’s fresh water. Michigan also has environmental challenges – threats due to climate change, drinking water diversion, PFAs pollution, and an aging Line 5 natural gas pipeline located under the Straits of Mackinac.

You can protect Michigan’s natural environment, fight climate change and help create more sustainable communities by donating to WMEAC.  For over 50 years, WMEAC has spearheaded landmark environmental legislation, championed clean water, and been a vanguard of environmental education. We are working at both the grassroots and the legislative level to make our communities more sustainable and resilient.
