Michigan’s Great Lakes Coastal Dunes
The Michigan Environmental Council partnered with WMEAC, Heart of the Lakes, and Michigan State University researchers to value Michigan’s coastal dunes. The project had 3 parts: creating more accurate maps of the dunes; documenting the economic, social, and cultural importance of the dune, and creating a base of dune supporters to advocate for better policies and management practices.
